U.S. Halts Issuing Passports Due to Virus

Proof of “life-or-death emergency” required to obtain one during the epidemic.

In order to further discourage international travel, the State Department has stated that it will cease issuing new passports during the coronavirus epidemic, although it has continued to process passport requests submitted before March 19. In a case of a “life or death emergency” with regards to a loved one, the department will provide a three-day passport turnaround “death certificate, a statement from a mortuary or a signed letter from a hospital or medical professional” in another country.

The strong boundaries for international travel come from the recommendation of trusted viral specialists such as top epidemiologist Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has advised 2 other presidential administrations on pandemic related matters.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he continues to lead the nation through crisis.
  • For the State Department as they decide how best to implement this state of emergency.
  • For God’s miraculous healing the permeate the land.
