President Sends Letter to U.S. Governors

In it, he outlines COVID-19 plan and offers encouragement.

On Thursday of last week, President Trump sent a letter to all of the nation’s governors to give a morale boost, and provide the federal plan to handle the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Within his letter, he outlined the plan that his officials have for collecting data that would categorize certain counties as high risk. This data will determine the next stage of the national response.

President Trump also said that his administration would be rolling out new guidelines for local and state governments to use to determine rules about “maintaining, increasing or relaxing social distancing and other mitigation measures.” Over the weekend the President expressed that the peak of the pandemic would likely be in another two weeks, with the stay at home orders to extend through the entire month of April.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump to have wisdom on how best to protect the nation from COVID-19.
  • That the White House and local governments would cooperate effectively to stop the spread of the sickness.
  • For the Trump Administration to quickly find a cure to this disease.
