President Signs Coronavirus Emergency Relief Bill

The $2.2 trillion economic boost passed in record time.

A historic $2.2 trillion economic rescue plan was drafted, moved through the Senate, the House, and into the hands of the president as of Friday afternoon. “This will deliver urgently needed relief,” Trump said at the bill signing and was thankful for the swift actions taken.

While neither Democrat nor Republican Senators or Representatives were 100% satisfied with every aspect of the bill, there was a nearly unified voice of urgency in both the House and Senate. Republican Representative Kevin Brady said in his House speech; “While no one will agree with every part of this rescue bill, we face a challenge rarely seen in America’s history. We must act now, or the toll on lives and livelihoods will be far greater.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he leads the nation during this extraordinary time.
  • For the House and the Senate as they consider further measures they should implement for this emergency.
  • That the citizens of the United States of America would rely on the Lord as they care for each other in this intense season.
