Cautions about possible disinformation

A report that intelligence officials have warned U.S. lawmakers that Russia is interfering in the 2020 campaign to help President Trump has been seen in recent media outlets.

On Friday, President Trump said that idea that Russia wants him to win re-election was “another disinformation campaign.” Conflicting reports indicate that, while foreign nations may be trying to influence the upcomnig election, there is little evidence that one candidate is favored over another.

The Kremlin agreed and on Friday said that allegations from U.S. intelligence officials that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election campaign and trying to boost President Trump’s re-election chances are false and the result of paranoia. The Kremlin’s spokesman told reporters, “These are more paranoid announcements which, to our regret, will multiply as we get closer to the U.S. election. They have nothing to do with the truth.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For U.S. officials to discover and disclose attempts at interference in the U.S. election by any foreign government or their representatives.
  • For the truth to prevail about President Trump with regard to his bid for re-election.
  • For fairness in every aspect of the coming presidential election.
