Interior Department Announces Central Valley Water Program

California Farmland
Partners with Commerce Department for new water storage and delivery processes

The Trump Administration announced on Wednesday that President Trump had signed the Presidential “Memorandum on Developing and Delivering More Water Supplies in California.” Calling for an increase to the water supply in California, the plan calls for both the Secretaries of the Interior and Commerce to develop the means to capture and store more water for agricultural and municipal water consumers.

Interior Secretary Bernhart said of the plan, “Today’s action furthers President Trump’s commitment to America’s hardworking farmers who need water to feed our nation.” The end goal of this new plan would be to bring greater efficiency to the water delivery program in California and seeks to negotiate state and federal responsibility for different water sources.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump to have wisdom on how best to promote good water usage in the west.
  • That the Interior Department would be used by God to be good stewards of the nation’s water.
  • For the Commerce Department to set up a useful economic plan to provide water to California.
