President Praises Attorney General Barr for Stone Case

President Trump Attorney General Barr
Justice Department Reduces Sentencing Recommendation

On Wednesday, President Trump weighed in on the ongoing case against Roger Stone, his former campaign advisor. Mr. Stone is guilty of lying to Congress and witness tampering. Recently, the Department of Justice reduced their recommendation for Mr. Stone’s punishment from the 7 to 9 years suggested by career federal prosecutors saying the prior recommendation, “does not accurately reflect the Department of Justice’s position.”

President Trump tweeted congratulations to the attorney general for stepping into the situation. President Trump also expressed doubts that the underlying evidence was obtained lawfully and called the first sentencing recommendation a “miscarriage of justice.” The Department of Justice stated that the decision to reduce the sentence was not based on the president’s reaction.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That the Justice Department would be led to bring about fair judgment.
  • That President Trump continues to take action to provide equal treatment under the law.
  • For the AG Barr to lead the Justice Department effectively.
