President Trump Launches the “America Prays” Initiative

The president spoke at the Religious Liberty Commission that met at the Museum of the Bible.

President Donald Trump announced the America Prays initiative on Monday, highlighting the role of faith in the United States’ foundation and identity as the administration prepares for the nation’s 250th anniversary. He said that new guidance is being released to protect prayer in public schools during a meeting of the Religious Liberty Commission at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

“For most of our country’s history, the Bible was found in every classroom in the nation, yet in many schools today, students are instead indoctrinated with anti-religious propaganda,” said the president. “The Department of Education will soon issue new guidance protecting the right to prayer in our public schools.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams advocated for prayer at an Interfaith Breakfast two years ago, stating, “When we took prayers out of schools, guns came into schools. Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state. State is the body. Church is the heart. You take the heart out of the body, the body dies.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and members of his administration as they advocate for faith and the free exercise of religion.
  • For the education secretary and officials in her department as they prepare guidance to protect prayer in public schools.
