President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. and China are extending the pause on the retaliatory tariffs. He issued an executive order to the effect on Monday evening.
President Trump stated, “I have just signed an Executive Order that will extend the Tariff Suspension on China for another 90 days. All other elements of the Agreement will remain the same.“
The previous deadline would have expired at midnight on Tuesday, returning tariffs of 245% on Chinese imports to the U.S. and 125% duties on American goods imported to China.
