Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints, for certain people have crept in unnoticed… who pervert the grace of our God… and deny our Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. – Jude 1:3, 4
Standing Strong
The pressure is on in society, and, unfortunately, also in many churches, to adopt postures and attitudes that do not align with the Word of God. Departures such as these erode the foundation of your faith—the trust that God is Who He said He is, that Jesus is the Redeemer, that sins can be forgiven, and that heaven is the destiny of the believer. That is why, in today’s culture, it is essential to embrace Jude’s appeal to “contend for the faith.” With the merciful salvation of God as your motivation, the Holy Spirit as your teacher, and God’s Word as your guide, now is the time to stand up for faith in Christ, shine His light into the darkness, and defend the truth of the Gospel. Ask the Lord to lead you today as you commit to stand up for the Savior and His values.
