Issue 707 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

U.S. Northern Command recently deployed approximately 200 Marines to Florida to assist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Under Title 10 authority, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved a request from the Department of Homeland Security for up to 700 Active, National Guard, and Reserve component forces. The military personnel will be assisting with administrative and logistical tasks and will not be functioning in any law enforcement capacity.

Pray for Secretary Hegseth to be discerning in the deployment of troops to support federal agencies as immigration enforcement continues.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

President Donald Trump reported that U.S. military aid would be released to Ukraine to support its defense as Russia continues its attacks and refuses to negotiate a ceasefire. Russian Security Council Deputy Dmitry Medvedev said that his nation would “keep pursuing the goals of the Special Military Operation. Take back our land. Work for Victory.”

Pray for President Trump and Secretary Hegseth as they evaluate the assistance Ukraine needs and assess options to obtain a ceasefire.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

After President Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House early this week, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff traveled to Doha, Qatar, for peace talks between Israel and Hamas, saying, “We have an opportunity to finally get a peace deal – I am hopeful for it very quickly.” President Trump also indicated the U.S. continues to pursue a nuclear treaty with Iran.

Pray for the president and special envoy to be discerning as they seek peace in the Middle East.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

A half dozen pro-life organizations, representing tens of thousands of medical professionals, have requested that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Food and Drug Commissioner Marty Makary reinstate safeguards to protect women from harms resulting from abortion drugs. The groups requested that the federal agency return to pre-2016 Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies that limited mifepristone use to 7 weeks of gestation and required in-person dispensing and follow-up appointments. They wrote that the drug “shows real patients experience very real medical emergencies at an alarming rate – a rate that is consistent with what our members are seeing in their clinical practice.”

Pray for Secretary Kennedy and Commissioner Makary as they consider the request to reimplement the prior regulations for abortion drugs.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman introduced a state program under which almost 2,000 law enforcement officers in the state have received body armor. The state attorney general said, “Through this program, created by strong leaders in the General Assembly, we’re providing more than a piece of equipment. This body armor represents peace of mind for these officers, their departments, and the families who wait up for their loved ones to come home at the end of each shift.”

The Virginia Attorney General’s Office of Civil Rights is looking into a complaint filed by Jewish parents whose three children were expelled from a private school after experiencing anti-Semitism. The complaint stated that, after a poster of Adolf Hitler was shared with the entire school community and a Palestinian flag was hung in the school gym, the harassment exponentially increased. The headmaster simply told their daughter to toughen up before abruptly expelling all three of their children from the school.

Pray for state attorneys general as they address the concerns of their residents and support law enforcement officials.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“I want you to be able to walk out of here today, and I want you to be able to say ‘I am being led every second.‘ And it’s not a feeling, it’s not a voice. [God] lives in me. And He is leading me every second of every day. I don’t always listen perfectly. I don’t always ‘get it right.‘ But He IS leading me and He doesn’t stop. He is never a neglectful parent. … He IS our Father. He IS leading us. He IS involved. … He’s your life. He’s your everything.“ –  Dr. Andrew Farley, The Grace Message, July 2025
