Feeding on God’s Word
In its most recent survey, the American Bible Society found an increase in Bible reading and engagement for the first time since 2021. They reported that Americans, particularly young adults and men, have become curious about the Bible and Jesus. Americans’ Scripture engagement from 2024 to 2025 was up from 38 percent to 41 percent. Millennials experienced a 29 percent increase and men 19 percent. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.“ From the times of the Old Testament through the time of Jesus and His apostles, every encouragement has been made for those who love the Lord to stay in, study, meditate on, and adhere to the Word of God. Set aside time each day to spend with the Lord in His Word. Through it, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
