For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish. – Jeremiah 31:25
Refreshed
There may be nothing more refreshing to the earth, and to your spirit, than a gentle rain. Grass seems greener, blue skies return brighter, temperatures drop a bit, and you breathe in the fragrance of the rain. But when your soul is downcast, rain may not do anything to ease the burden. At those times, you need the Lord, who has promised to replenish you. Seek Him in those hours of need. The psalmist says that you will be revived in spirit by reading and meditating on the Word of the Lord (Psalm 19:7). Also remember, He has provided “a garment of praise“ to replace a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3). God is with you in seasons of drought to refresh you by His Spirit as you draw near to Him!
