DOE Announces Funding for Domestic Solar Supply Chain

19 projects selected to forward research and economic integration.

The Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced that $52 million will be distributed to 19 projects intended to increase America’s solar supply chain. The projects were selected by President Biden’s administration to receive this funding allocated by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, and are based across the country. Roughly half of the projects will explore making solar panels recyclable, and nine others will troubleshoot how best to make solar technologies scalable to manufacturable levels.

“President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is fueling a clean energy revolution right here at home with game-changing incentives for manufacturing and deployment,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “DOE is seizing that momentum by making some of our largest ever investments in research to strengthen our domestic solar supply chain—creating good-paying jobs and boosting economic opportunities in communities across America in the process.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his energy advisers as they choose solar projects to fund.
  • For the recipients of the funding to find effective and efficient ways to recycle and manufacture solar panels.
