Today, President Joe Biden is hosting King Abdullah II of Jordan and Prince Hussein. The president is expected to discuss the tensions that have increased in Jerusalem that began during Ramadan.

The White House stated, “King Abdullah’s visit to Washington, his second of the Biden Administration, will reinforce the close friendship and enduring partnership between the United States and Jordan. Jordan is a critical force for stability in the Middle East and strategic partner and ally of the United States.“

President Biden had spoken with King Abdullah in April about the violence taking place in Israel and the West Bank. The president is expected to travel to the Middle East to meet with Israeli and Palestinian officials next month.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for the president and Jordanian king as they discuss Middle Eastern issues.
  • For the president to seek God’s direction in making commitments and agreements with other nations.
  • For God’s purposes to be fulfilled in the meeting between these heads of state.
