Today, the president will participate in the virtual summit of CEOs regarding Semiconductor and Supply Chain Resilience. Joining President Joe Biden will be National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, and National Economic Council Director Brian Deese.

Administration officials will be discussing the computer chip shortage with industry leaders from about 20 companies. The shortage has caused U.S. auto manufacturers to idle their production of vehicles.

During the pandemic, chip manufacturing had been redirected from the auto industry to more semiconductors for computer and tech companies, as the demand for vehicles had dropped during the lockdowns. Director Deese said that the “summit reflects the urgent need to strengthen critical supply chains.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as the computer chip shortage is discussed.
  • For God to guide industry and administration officials as they seek production and supply solutions.
  • For God’s purposes to be fulfilled as the administration addresses the challenges facing the nation.
