President Biden Pushes Up Full Vaccine Eligibility Timeline

All adults to be eligible April 19.

On Tuesday, President Biden announced that his administration would be bumping up his deadline for states to allow all adults to be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. He moved the deadline from May 1 to April 19 – roughly two weeks. Eligibility means that all adults will be able to reserve a spot in line, but still would have to wait for an appointment.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki explained the reason for the adjustment saying, “It reduces confusion and it ensures that Americans who are not yet vaccinated, who are looking to get vaccinated, they know they are all eligible, all adults, I should say, on April 19.” The president’s administration is also expected to celebrate the milestone of 150 million doses of the vaccine distributed.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That God would guide the president’s administration in handling the waning pandemic.
  • For God to help the White House work with state and local governments to distribute vaccines effectively.
