The effort is part of the Shield of the Americas effort to eradicate cartel operations.
The U.S. military coordinated with the Venezuelan military last week to launch a series of drone strikes against cartel operations in rural Venezuela. The National Liberation Army (ELN) is a guerrilla group designated by the United States and other allies as a terrorist organization.
Venezuela is the most recent Latin American nation to partner with the United States in the Shield of the Americas effort to counter cartel activities and operations.
The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation also supported the drone strikes. The operation is part of President Trump’s ongoing agenda to stop drug trafficking into the United States. U.S. troops have also carried out joint operations against cartels in addition to drone strikes.
Colombia recently launched an operation mobilizing over 1,200 troops and law enforcement to dismantle narco-terrorist networks along its border with Venezuela.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to seek the Lord’s guidance as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
- For Director Ratcliffe as he oversees CIA operations and intelligence gathering.
- For Director Patel as he heads the FBI and its support of operations to eliminate narco-terrorist cartels.
- For Secretary Hegseth to be discerning as he leads the U.S. Defense Department.
