Behold, all souls are mine. – Ezekiel 18:4
“That’s mine!“ You hear that often when toddlers are playing. However, they may or may not be the rightful owner of whatever they are squabbling over. Today’s verse from Ezekiel states that all humanity belongs to God. He is the rightful Owner, since He created each and every soul.
The apostle Paul said, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11). Whether they trust in God or not, all people will acknowledge that they truly belong to Him. The Bible predicts a judgment day. Jesus said, “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:31-32). God has the right and the power to accomplish His will concerning the outcome of all He created.
The Lord’s will is that no one should perish, but all will receive Christ as their Savior (2 Peter 3:9). Paul testifies of Jesus, “And there is no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Pray for lost souls to repent and be saved. Ask God to draw others to Him as you magnify the Savior through the testimony of your life. Pray for the eyes of the citizens and governing officials of the United States to be opened to God’s grace and truth.
Today’s Verse: Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.

17 But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! 18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
