Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
U.S. Southern Command announced that Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere partnered with the government of Ecuador in a recent interdiction of a vessel suspected of being used as a refueling station by the Los Choneros crime syndicate. U.S. Marines and sailors from the USS San Antonio boarded the vessel, detained individuals who were turned over to Ecuador, and then sank the alleged drug trafficking station.
Pray for the U.S. Southern Command and Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere commanders and service members as they continue operations to prevent drug trafficking in the Americas.
Pray for America’s Foreign Relations
Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe visited Russia last week. President Trump called the trip “semi-routine.” Russia has encroached on NATO territory more than once in recent years during the Ukraine war. In May, a Romanian apartment building was hit by a drone carrying explosives, and NATO fighter jets shot down Russian drones that violated Polish airspace last year.
A senior Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence official purchased a building just 650 feet from the White House in Washington, D.C., in July. Public records show the century-old building was purchased by the foreign national, who is also a trained sniper and has held a variety of intelligence and security positions with the CCP.
Pray for U.S. officials as they engage in diplomatic discussions regarding conflicts and assess the dangers of U.S. property owned by foreign nationals or entities.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) held a symposium this week in Washington, D.C., to examine the dangers of screen use for children and discuss options to support healthier child development. The symposium brought together officials from technology, medicine, research, education, government, and advocacy groups as part of the national campaign to help families, schools, and communities reduce screen use and increase healthy development opportunities for children.
Pray for Secretary Kennedy and HHS officials as they seek to improve support and opportunities for child development and to reduce the amount of screen time to which children are exposed.
Pray for Needs Across the States
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte issued an executive order temporarily suspending regulations that restrict carriers’ hours of service to expedite hay delivery for the state’s farmers and ranchers. The governor said, “With the persistent drought, it was essential that we eliminate any roadblocks that threaten the viability of our producers and their operations.” The Montana Department of Agriculture director said, “When our producers are facing tight supplies and economic pressures, they do not need to also battle regulatory provisions that can slow down the essential movement of feed.”
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear recently said that he has heard “absolutely nothing” from U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell after publicly requesting that the senator “provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign,” due to the former Senate majority leader’s months-long absence from the U.S. Senate after being hospitalized in June. Governor Beshear said, “I want him to get better, but I just believe he has a responsibility to talk to the people of Kentucky, and I don’t think that’s asking a lot.” The last message from Senator McConnell was released in early August, stating he was going home from rehab.
Pray for the governors and other state officials as they seek to reduce the regulatory burden farmers and ranchers face. Also pray for elected officials to be forthcoming about their health and fitness to serve.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“The bride of Christ has intimacy with Jesus [Revelation 12]. As a husband and wife enter into intimacy, so the church of Christ on earth has an intimacy with Jesus. There is a loving relationship between Jesus and His bride. But this harlot woman [Revelation 17], this fallen church system, does not have intimacy with Jesus. She commits fornication with the kings of the earth. She finds her strength in political powers and human legislative enactments rather than divine decrees that come from God.” – Pastor Mark Finley, HopeLives365, “God’s Call to be Faithful”
