FDA Issues Recall Notice for Pillsbury Bread Rolls

More than 730,000 rolls have possible glass contamination.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a recall for General Mills Pillsbury bread rolls across 19 states for possible glass contamination. The Class II recall includes Hard Roll Dough and Kaiser Roll Dough, which could cause “temporary or medically reversible” health consequences. The affected products have a “better if used by” date of October 12 and 13.

The FDA reported that the rolls were distributed in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.

The federal agency also recently upgraded a recall of UTZ Potato Chips for possible Salmonella to its highest-risk classification, as contaminated items could cause serious illness or death.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For NIH Director Bhattacharya as he acts as head of the FDA as well.
  • For U.S. health officials as they work to ensure food safety and manufacturing compliance.
