Interior Department Adds National Historical Park

Site will maintain French settlement in Missouri.

The Interior Department recently announced that a new National Historical Park had been established. The Ste. Genevieve Historical Park is the fourth national park created by President Trump’s administration. The site seeks to “preserve, protect, and interpret for the benefit of present and future generations the themes of French settlement” in Missouri.

Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt said of the new park, “This pre-Revolutionary War settlement along the banks of the Mississippi River provides a rich story of early French colonization, the increased British presence after the Louisiana Purchase and, later, German American settlers carving out a hard life on the American frontier.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president’s administration as it preserves historic sites important to the nation.
  • For the Interior Department to be used by God to preserve the nation’s lands.
  • That Secretary Bernhart would be given wisdom from God on how to lead the Interior Department.
