He also announced an effort to improve the safety of the Brightline Florida Railroad.
Secretary Sean Duffy announced a Transportation Department initiative to support American supply chains.
The department explained, “The American Supply Chain Sovereignty Initiative will launch a high-visibility dashboard connecting major hubs like the Port of Los Angeles directly to ocean carriers, trucking companies, railroads, and retailers.”
“When it comes to our supply chains, time is money. Fewer delays mean lower costs throughout the entire supply chain,” said Secretary Duffy. “The American Supply Chain Sovereignty Initiative will prevent bottlenecks, move freight faster, and deliver goods more affordably for the American people.”
The transportation secretary and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) administrator also announced the investment of $25 million to increase the safety of the Florida Brightline Railroad.
“Grade crossing collisions and pedestrian events are responsible for 96% of rail-related deaths in the U.S.,” said FRA Administrator David Fink. “We are confident that these investments will help prevent further needless deaths and injuries due to grade crossing collisions and trespassing.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Duffy to seek God’s direction as he heads the Department of Transportation and its efforts to strengthen the nation’s supply chain.
- For Administrator Fink and FRA officials as they assess the security of U.S. railroads and seek to improve safety measures.
