Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
The U.S. Army’s Enduring High Energy Laser program is considering an updated advanced energy weapon to destroy drones. The LOCUST X3 is a third-generation weapon with a 20-35 kilowatt laser. The Defense Department has been seeking an economical way to counter drones, and this laser provides the service at less than $5 per engagement, as opposed to using missiles that range in cost from $400,000 to $3 million.
Pray for Secretary Hegseth, General Caine, and Admiral Cooper as they strategize missions for Operation Epic Fury.
Pray for America’s Foreign Relations
Soon after Spain closed its airspace to U.S. military aircraft, having previously refused access to joint military bases in the nation during Operation Epic Fury, France followed suit in refusing to permit the U.S. military to use their airspace. The White House reported that U.S. military operations remain on track and that America “does not need help” from them.
Israel has halted all defense contracts with France after restrictions it placed on Israel’s participation in defense exhibitions last year and support for a UN resolution promoting an arms embargo against Israel. The Knesset has approved an increase in Israel’s defense budget. The country has consistently expanded its military spending since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
Pray for U.S. officials and Middle Eastern allies as they respond to the refusal of support from European nations.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., has called for popular coffee shops to provide safety data to the federal agency regarding the health impact of their drinks, some of which far exceed the recommended daily allowance of sugar. Secretary Kennedy said, “We’re going to ask Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks, ‘Show us the safety data that show that it’s okay for a teenage girl to drink an iced coffee with 115 grams of sugar in it.'” He added, “I don’t think they’re going to be able to do it.”
Pray for Secretary Kennedy and HHS and FDA officials as they request data to study the health implications of popular drinks.
Pray for Needs Across the States
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism is providing grants that will connect 24,000 acres of park lands. The governor said that the access points in the hiking and biking trail plan will encourage the growth of small businesses. Other grants are being awarded to fund outdoor development for community playgrounds and walking trails.
Nebraska experienced a wildfire last month that burned over 100,000 acres in two counties, which required some communities to evacuate. Governor Jim Pillen thanked first responders and volunteers who worked to contain the blaze, and the Nebraska National Guard adjutant general called the firefighters “heroes.” The governor said he is working with the USDA and the Farm Service Agency on potentially relocating livestock to public lands under the Conservation Reserve Program.
Pray for state governors, secretaries of state, and legislators as they address concerns about election integrity and child welfare.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“When [the nation of Israel] got into Sinai, God began to reveal Himself to His people. One of the ways He described Himself is found in Exodus 20. He says, ‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.‘ This is the God of Israel, the God of the Bible, our God. He is the God who frees from bondage and slavery.
Whatever your need is—your bondage, the problem that has overcome your life and made you a slave or become your master—know you serve the God who set His people free of bondage, and He can do it for you, too. … Reflect upon this amazing God, the God of Israel, the God of the Bible, and what He can do in your life.“ – Dr. Susan Michael, Out of Zion
