Issue 742 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The U.S. Southern Command reported its joint military operation with Ecuadorian forces against Designated Terrorist Organizations in Ecuador. “We are advancing alongside our partners in the fight against narcoterrorism,” SouthCom Commander Marine Corps General Francis Donovan stated. “I congratulate our joint forces and the Ecuadorian armed forces for the successful operation against narcoterrorists in Ecuador. This collaborative and decisive action is a strategic success for all nations in the Western Hemisphere committed to disrupting and defeating narcoterrorism.”

Pray for the generals and admirals commanding the U.S. commands around the world.

Pray for America’s Foreign Relations

Romania has approved the United States’ request to use its air base in the Black Sea for refuelling planes, surveillance, and satellite communications gear for Operation Epic Fury in Iran. Romanian President Nicusor Dan said, “This equipment is defensive, it does not carry actual ammunition. To the extent that parliament approves… it will be ‌deployed to Romania in line with the U.S. Romanian partnership.”

The International Energy Agency (IEA) agreed this week to provide the greatest volume of emergency oil reserves it has ever released, 400 million barrels, to address the instability in the global oil market due to military operations in Iran. Cargo traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has effectively stopped as Iran has attacked commercial ships in the Persian Gulf.

Pray for U.S. officials as they engage in partnerships and discussions with allies in addressing terrorist regimes and global security.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) launched a unified platform for the analysis of adverse event reports. The FDA Adverse Event Monitoring System (AEMS) modernizes the reports submitted for drugs, biologics, vaccines, and cosmetics. The agency stated that all remaining product centers will be added to AEMS in the coming months. Historical adverse event data will also be migrated to the new system. Commissioner Marty Makary said that the “previous adverse event reporting systems were outdated and fragmented and made important data difficult to access,” and that this new platform “will better serve agency scientists, researchers, and the public.”

Pray for Commissioner Makary and FDA officials and researchers as they collate and migrate adverse event reports into the new system.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Oklahoma House passed legislation to prohibit obscene or sexually explicit materials from school library collections. The bill seeks to provide clear standards for school libraries to protect children, yet keep legitimate educational resources from being restricted.

The president of the Arizona Senate confirmed President Trump’s report that the FBI executed a federal grand jury subpoena for 2020 election audit records. FBI agents have received gigabytes of Maricopa County electronic election data for review. It is a federal legal violation when a state or county fails to administer elections according to state laws. Fulton County, Georgia, was recently raided over election irregularities.

Pray for state legislators as they seek to shield school children from inappropriate materials and address election security.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

The Bible says that God created three institutions. He created government, he created the church, and he created family. … I don’t think people are as effective in love and in marriage simply because they don’t know how, not because they don’t have the want to. It is like having a GPS system that is not connected to the satellite systems. You are always going to end up in some ditch somewhere if you don’t have the right data in there. … I think that’s the very core of what God wants to do in our sanctification process. The blood of Christ gets us into heaven and we don’t have to earn that, thank God. Thank God I ain’t got to earn it. But there is this transformation process that, once again, I like to think about. It’s… a wounded place that God wants to heal.“ – Calvin Copeland, Forever Love
