Border Czar Homan reports that immigration agents are being redeployed from Minnesota.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that all federal agents in Minnesota, and soon across the nation, would be wearing body cameras after the two activists were shot and killed in separate incidents last month. Federal enforcement officers have encountered increased harassment from demonstrators since the beginning of President Trump’s second term.
Secretary Noem stated, “We are deploying body cameras to every officer in the field in Minneapolis. As funding is available, the body camera program will be expanded nationwide. We will rapidly acquire and deploy body cameras to DHS law enforcement across the country.“
Border Czar Tom Homan reported that, now that Minnesota state prisons are notifying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the release of criminal illegal aliens, the presence of federal officers is being reduced in the state.
“This coordination makes it far safer for the Twin Cities,” Mr. Homan said. “The state prisons already cooperate with ICE on this coordinated transfer of custody, and we thank them for this partnership.” He added they’re not requiring jails to hold criminals past their normal hold times.
“They are merely notifying us before they release them,” the border czar continued. He said, “given this increase in unprecedented collaboration,” federal enforcement agencies would draw down 700 officers.
He also announced the formation of a unified joint task force to address threats. Mr. Homan explained, “More officers taking custody of criminal aliens directly from the jails means less officers on the street doing criminal operations… It’s safer for the community, safer for the officers, and safer for the alien.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Noem to seek God’s guidance as she heads DHS and its many agencies.
- For Border Czar Homan as he facilitates immigration enforcement in Minnesota.
- For the safety of federal immigration enforcement agents and for prudence for protestors.
