The House Oversight Committee continues its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s actions and associations.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted last week to hold former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for failing to provide testimony regarding their knowledge of convicted sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The former first couple have claimed that the congressional subpoenas to provide closed-door depositions were not legally valid.
Committee Chair James Comer of Kentucky said, “The committee does not take this action lightly, but subpoenas are not mere suggestions. They carry the force of law and require compliance. Former President Clinton and Secretary Clinton were legally required to appear for depositions before this committee.”
He added, “This Committee has acted in good faith. We’ve offered flexibility on scheduling. The response we received was not cooperation, but defiance, marked by repeated delays, excuses, and obstruction.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the House Oversight Committee chair and members to be prudent as they investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s associations and history.
- For former President Clinton and former Secretary Clinton to respond to this situation with appropriate action.
