The two individuals were previously members of the Foreign Influence Task Force.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced on Friday that two former Federal Bureau of Investigation officials had been arrested and charged with lying to Congress.
Attorney Pirro said, “Two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Floris, 46, and Bradley Benavides, 56, surrendered on arrest warrants after being charged with lying to Congress about their roles on the Foreign Influence Task Force during the 2020 election. Floris and Benavides allegedly lied to Congress about their roles in the FBI’s Hunter Biden investigations, with one claiming they only learned about it from Wikipedia – despite evidence showing their involvement in helping shape the public narrative about Hunter Biden’s laptop right before the election.”
“The weaponization of government goes against the interest of the American people, and public servants, including federal law enforcement officials, cannot lie to Congress and get away with it,” said Attorney General Todd Blanche. “The Department of Justice will continue identifying and prosecuting those who break federal law.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Attorney General Blanche to be wise in his management of the Department of Justice.
- For Attorney Pirro as she oversees the case against the former FBI officials.
- For federal law enforcement officers and personnel to fill their roles with integrity and transparency.
