VERSE OF THE WEEK
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. – Romans 12:2
Transformation
There is an inevitability with change—it will happen, whether you are ready for it or not. The world is changing, and yet, praise God, it is not your job to change the world, though politicians and activists these days tend to believe that you can. Rather, the apostle Paul says, in this week’s verse, to renew your mind in ways that will transform your life. This transformation adjusts the way you think, the way you react, and the way you deal with the coming changes. Ephesians 4:22-24 tells you how: “Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Today is the day!
