Issue 727 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

A U.S. Air Force unit is investigating the crash of an MQ-9 Reaper drone this week in South Korea. The incident occurred after a reconnaissance unit was established at the Kunsan Air Base in September. The 8th Fighter Wing said that operations are continuing with “heightened awareness and commitment to safety, ensuring that any potential issues are proactively addressed.”

Pray for U.S. military commanders as they oversee operations and missions around the globe. Pray for the safety of U.S. troops deployed abroad.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed willingness to discuss the U.S.-proposed peace deal endorsed by President Trump. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll, and Jared Kushner met with a delegation from Ukraine in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss the deal that is founded on input from both the warring nations. Envoy Witkoff is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next week to discuss the plan.

Pray for President Trump and Envoy Witkoff as they seek to accomplish a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

While Israel and Hamas continue to accuse each other of violations of phase one of the U.S.-brokered peace plan, officials from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey met this week to discuss phase two. The second phase will involve deploying an international stabilization force and the development of an international body to govern Gaza. It also includes disarming Hamas. There are still two deceased hostages that Hamas has not yet released to Israel.

Pray for U.S. negotiators as they engage with Middle Eastern officials to craft phase two of the Gaza peace agreement.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its webpage on autism and vaccines to indicate that research has not fully ruled out a connection. The federal health department stated that the new language reflects rigorous scientific evaluation and noted that the department has launched a broader review into autism’s causes. While the CDC retained a headline stating that vaccines do not cause autism, it added a footnote to explain that it is the result of an agreement with Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who secured an assurance from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. during his confirmation.

Pray for Secretary Kennedy and CDC officials as they pursue more in-depth studies on vaccination and autism.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Georgia Special Prosecutor Pete Skandalakis, executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, filed a motion in Fulton County Superior Court requesting that the case brought against President Donald Trump and his associates for their challenge of the state’s 2020 presidential election results be dropped. After District Attorney Fani Willis, who originally brought the anti-racketeering indictments, was disqualified for misconduct, Skandalakis appointed himself to the case since he could find no other prosecutor willing to take it.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is coordinating with the state crime lab and investigators to address a professional burglary operation that has targeted affluent neighborhoods. Law enforcement officials say the organized thefts of jewelry, designer handbags, watches, and cash share similarities with South American crime groups that have operated across the United States. A police operations commander stated that methods of entry and the way the burglars are dressed, with only their eyes showing, support the view that it is a well-coordinated theft group.

Pray for state officials as they assess measures to reduce crime in their jurisdictions.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“When we start each day thanking God for our salvation, for meeting our needs, for forgiving our sin, our heart is filled with joy, because of what He’s done. The worries of the day fade away as we thank the One who loves us and gave His only Son to take the punishment for our sin. … (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Being thankful is God’s will for us! And we have much to be thankful for when we stop and think on all of His good gifts to us, His children! – Dr. David Jeremiah, Turning Point, Daily in His Presence, “It’s Good to Give Thanks”
