Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth administered the oath to reinstate U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Melissa Cunningham to the U.S. military this week. The general had declined to receive the then-mandatory COVID-19 injection in 2022 and was forced to retire. President Trump signed an executive order last year requiring the secretaries of war and homeland security to reinstate, upon request, all military members who were discharged solely for refusing the COVID-19 shot between August 2021 and January 2023.
Pray for Secretaries Hegseth and Mullin as they reinstate military members who were forced to retire due to refusing the mandatory COVID-19 shot during the pandemic.
Pray for America’s Foreign Relations
Colombia has rejoined the Geneva Consensus Declaration this month, becoming the 47th nation to affirm that there is “no international right to abortion nor an international obligation on states to fund or facilitate it.” The Cancilleria Colombia stated that the nation joined the coalition “committed to the defense of life from conception to natural death, the strengthening of the family, and respect for the sovereignty of each nation to define its own policies.“
After Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro questioned the integrity of the presidential run-off election this week, Brazil’s Federal Police ordered him to surrender his passport and prohibited him from leaving the country. Bolsonaro then fled the country through Argentina and Ecuador, then flew to Miami, Florida. The United States issued asylum visas to him and his family. His father, Jair Bolsonaro, has been on house arrest under President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s regime.
Pray for American diplomats and leaders as they meet with foreign ministers and heads of state to negotiate mutual concerns.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
The Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Women’s Health is coordinating efforts with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and DenseBreast-info.org (DBI) to improve breast cancer screening, education, and diagnostic follow-up. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said, “We are putting prevention, early detection, and timely action at the center of breast health.”
Pray for Secretary Kennedy and Senior Advisor Huizenga as they seek to strengthen breast cancer screening, education, and diagnostic follow-up to improve women’s health.
Pray for Needs Across the States
Officials in Ohio reported that an employee error caused a recent chemical tank leak in Toledo last week. While there was no fire, 900 residents were evacuated within a mile radius of the glycidyl methacrylate tank after the explosion from its temperature disregulation. The county health department said that at least 60 people were treated with “symptoms potentially related to the chemical release.”
The New York City Comptroller reported that the city lost approximately 23,000 private jobs in September after losing 7,700 in August, largely in the finance and hospitality sectors. Healthcare and social assistance employment increased by nearly 30,000 in the past year, and government jobs also rose by 10,000. Economic officials cited corporate income tax rates and commercial rent tax rates as contributors to the drop in private employment.
Pray for state, county, and local officials as they oversee public safety and environmental concerns. Pray for wisdom for public servants as they assess and impose taxes on private enterprise.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“You know, we always claim something when it’s adding involved. Not many folk want to claim a blessing that has subtraction involved. But I’m here to declare to you from the word of the Lord, some of the greatest things God will do in your life begin with significant subtraction.“ – Paul Sheppard, Destined for Victory, October 2026
