Issue 773- National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The Pentagon announced that the Fort Hood shooter will be executed by firing squad. Secretary Pete Hegseth made the recommendation, which President Trump approved. The shooter, a former Army psychiatrist, was convicted in 2013 of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the November 2009 attack on Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Processing Center. It will be the first U.S. military execution to be conducted in over 60 years.

Pray for President Trump and Secretary Hegseth as they oversee military justice and seek to ensure the security of U.S. Armed Forces personnel.

Pray for America’s Foreign Relations

President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico requested evidence from the United States after a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter came under fire from the Mexican side of the border during a patrol along the Rio Grande. The Coast Guard personnel returned fire, and there were no American injuries or damage. The U.S. State Department reported that all available evidence had been turned over to Mexican authorities.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has postponed Palestinian Legislative Council elections from next month to September 2027. Elections have not been held since President Abbas won his position in 2005. After Abbas stated that Israel was blocking election materials and international observers from entering, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the claim was an “attempt to drag Israel into this, falsely claiming that Israel imposed obstacles to holding elections… to evade responsibility and accountability.”

Pray for discernment for U.S. State and Defense Department leaders as they interact with foreign diplomatic and military officials.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. hosted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Erica Schwartz and other medical professionals for a mold surveillance roundtable discussion last month. Secretary Kennedy said, “This will be the beginning of an effort to educate the public, to educate physicians, to try to figure out what this agency should be doing… so that everybody who’s affected by this disease can get some help.” The discussion included treatment options that detox the body from the fungal disease and invasive infections.

Pray for Secretary Kennedy and U.S. health officials as they work to increase awareness and treatment of mold toxicity.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Maricopa County, Arizona, Recorder’s office mailed out thousands of ballots six days ahead of the beginning of official early voting. The office stated that the vendor, Runbeck Election Services, was responsible for the error, but claimed the ballots were printed accurately and mailed to the correct voters. The recorder’s office stated, “Upon consultation with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, it was determined that the ballots remain valid and do not need to be voided or reissued. Voters may complete and return them normally.”

A federal judge determined that Illinois may not penalize faith-based hospitals and religious healthcare workers for refusing to participate in the state’s assisted-suicide law while a lawsuit proceeds. The judge issued a temporary restraining order stopping the state’s public health and financial regulation departments from enforcing the regulation that requires terminally ill patients to be informed on how to obtain lethal medication. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the Medical Aid in Dying bill in December 2025, and it went into effect last month.

Pray for state and county election officials to conduct early and mail-in voting with integrity and transparency.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“Why did Jesus say, dude, I want you to be of good cheer? Here’s why. Your sins are forgiven thee. That’s why Jesus says you can be of good cheer. Can I just say if you’re a Christian, if you’ve accepted Christ and repented of your sins, you can be of good cheer today. It’s not just me saying, hey dude, cheer up. It’s actually you saying, I can be of good cheer because guess what?
If I’m a Christian, if I’ve confessed my sins before God, my sins are forgiven. If you have no other reason in this world to be happy today, that is a huge one. He remembers our sins no more. So, number one, you can be of good cheer. Your sins are forgiven.“ – Brett Meador, Today’s Word Radio, October 2026
