Be strong and show yourself a man. And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping His statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn. – 1 Kings 2:2-3
Made in His Image
In current culture, gender dysphoria has increasingly caused identity confusion, for both males and females. Today’s verse comes from King David’s end-of-life advice given to his son, Solomon, on how to live. It is one of many Scripture references in which God instructs humanity to walk in His ways and according to His design for Earthly life. Men and women are created by the Lord, in His image. Rather than being influenced by mainstream or social media on gender ideology regarding who you should be and how you should live, turn to the Word of God. Affirm the people in your life as being created as image-bearers of the Almighty. Encourage the sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, husbands and wives around you to know and trust the Lord, accept His love and mercy, and live life His way. Pray for parents to be loving, prudent, and truthful role models in today’s United States.
