Today, President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are concluding their visit to Evian-les-Bains, France, for the G7 Summit. In addition to participating in the final summit discussions, including a working lunch, the president will meet individually with select foreign leaders. President Trump is set to have dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles before he departs for the U.S.
The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, is holding a confirmation hearing today for President Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Jay Clayton.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, is also holding confirmation hearings for an array of nominees today, including those for positions in the Office of Management and Budget, the Transportation Security Administration, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
