Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
U.S. Central Command confirmed that U.S. forces disabled a noncompliant empty tanker that was heading toward an Iranian port. The tanker, which has a history of violating sanctions, was fraudulently operating under the Botswana flag. Botswana is a landlocked African nation that does not have a ship registry.
Pray for Secretary Hegseth, General Caine, and Admiral Cooper as the naval blockage of Iran continues. Pray for the safety of U.S. military personnel.
Pray for America’s Foreign Relations
The U.S. is investigating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) over the connections of staffers to Hamas. The U.S. is reportedly considering the designation of UNRWA as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, which would eliminate the group’s diplomatic immunity. The USAID inspector general is partnering with the State Department in an effort to blacklist at least 1,500 UNRWA workers who are suspected of being Hamas operatives, so they are unable to work in other UN aid organizations.
The State Department recently designated two of Brazil’s largest, most influential criminal organizations, Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV), as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) and Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). Secretary Rubio stated, “CV and PCC are two of the most violent criminal organizations in Brazil. Together, they command thousands of members and have orchestrated brutal attacks against Brazilian police officers, public officials, and civilians. Their influence and illicit networks extend far beyond Brazil’s borders, across our region and into our country.”
Pray for U.S. and allied officials as they address terrorism and organized crime worldwide.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is visiting various states on a Take Back Your Health tour. This week, the health secretary traveled to Wisconsin to highlight the dairy farmers, infant formula manufacturers, and faith-based recovery organizations leading efforts to strengthen America’s food supply, improve public health, and address addiction. Secretary Kennedy said, “America’s health depends on the food we produce, the nutrition we provide our youngest Americans, and the support we offer those struggling with addiction.”
Pray for Secretary Kennedy and HHS officials as they highlight the importance of agricultural producers, manufacturers, and faith-based organizations in improving Americans’ health.
Pray for Needs Across the States
The Georgia Supreme Court vacated a lower state court’s denial of a request for a new trial for a murder suspect after a prosecutor used fake artificial intelligence citations during court proceedings. The state supreme court also admonished and suspended the prosecutor from appearing before the court for six months.
The Texas attorney general reached a settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital that requires the facility to establish a Detransition Clinic. The state’s Healthcare Program Enforcement Division found that the hospital had engaged in Medicaid fraud, conducting sex-rejecting procedures on minors while claiming to have stopped the practice. The clinic will offer treatment, free of charge for the first five years, to patients who have been harmed by transgender medical interventions.
Pray for state officials in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government as they address issues facing their jurisdictions.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“We need to remember that God completes what he starts. He’s described in the Bible as the author and the finisher of your faith. God’s gift to you, salvation, is from God to you from beginning to end. You didn’t earn it. Therefore, you can’t lose it. It’s not based on how you feel. It’s based on what Jesus did.
You might feel weak, but God is strong. Maybe you feel shaken, but you don’t have to stay in that state. …
How do you have an unshakeable faith? That’s the key: you need to look to Jesus. Look to Jesus, and that’s something we all can do. … Everything’s different when you turn the light on. … God is not looking for perfection; he’s looking for transparency. So he shines the light in our life to expose our sin so we will turn from it and find his forgiveness.“ – Greg Laurie, A New Beginning, “Unshakeable: When Faith Feels Fragile”
