The Vigil of Work and Provision: Trusting God as Our Sustainer
Work is more than a means of income. It is one of the primary ways people serve others, exercise stewardship, and reflect God’s design for diligence, creativity, and responsibility. A vigil of work and provision is a focused time of prayer that places our labor, our needs, and our economic life before the Lord, trusting Him as the One who sustains, opens doors, and provides in every season.
When jobs are uncertain, costs rise, or opportunities seem limited, fear can quickly take hold. This day invites us to pray not only for economic strength, but also for honest work, wise stewardship, ethical leadership, and compassionate care for those in need. As we seek God, we ask Him to bless the work of our hands, establish what is good, and help us trust His provision above every circumstance.
