Multi-agency findings examine policies affecting faith-based individuals and organizations.
The Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias recently released a report reviewing allegations of bias across several government agencies in recent years, with input from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Justice (DOJ). The report summarizes concerns raised about policies related to religious expression, participation in federal programs, and workplace experiences. The report included examples drawn from agency assessments and submitted accounts without reaching conclusions about individual cases.
“Throughout our nation’s history, faith and freedom have worked hand in hand to bring harmony and strength,” said HUD Secretary Scott Turner. “Our Founding Fathers created a nation to stand against religious oppression, and we cannot allow it to take root again… We are ending what we view as pervasive anti‑Christian bias in the federal government, protecting First Amendment rights, and returning to what we consider the nation’s founding Judeo‑Christian principles.”
The report notes policy actions taken by the current administration in response to broader religious liberty concerns, including updates to certain regulations and funding guidelines. It outlines issues related to housing programs, workplace procedures, and federal policy frameworks.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Turner and the heads of other federal agencies as they review the report’s findings and work to ensure that constitutional protections are consistently applied.
- That government officials abide by constitutional protections of religious freedom for employees and faith‑based organizations.
- For HUD and DOJ personnel as they implement policy changes as a result of the report.
