Issue 743 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The U.S. Space Force has indefinitely halted National Security Space Launch missions on the United Launch Alliance’s Vulcan Centaur rocket while an investigation into a booster malfunction last month is completed. “This is going to be a many-months process as we work through the exact technical issue that happened,” Space Force Colonel Eric Zarybnisky said. “Until this anomaly is solved, we will not be launching Vulcan missions.”

Pray for Colonel Zarybnisky and Space Force officials as they seek to resolve the rocket booster issue.

Pray for America’s Foreign Relations

The Cuban government has been in talks with the United States regarding the economic crisis in that country. Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga reported that Cuba was going to allow foreign investment in his nation. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Cuba needs a leadership change, stating, “They don’t know how to fix [the economy], so they have to get new people in charge.” He indicated the long-standing embargo the U.S. has on Cuba could be eased if political reforms occur.

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Ecuadorian Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, and Investment Luis Alberto Jaramillo recently signed a reciprocal trade agreement between the two nations. The United States has been providing intelligence and logistical support to Ecuador as that nation addresses organized crime. Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa expressed appreciation, stating, “We finally have a United States government that is concerned about the hemisphere and is also concerned about the origin of crime, where the problem comes from.”

Pray for U.S. diplomatic and trade officials as they engage the heads of state from other nations in economic and political negotiations.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its travel health notice for more than two dozen countries, including Germany and the United Kingdom, for polio. The agency removed Finland, Ghana, Spain, and Zimbabwe while adding Laos and Namibia to the list. The CDC stated, “This list is comprised of countries that have detected poliovirus in humans or environmental samples in the past 13 months.”

Pray for NIH Administrator Jay Bhattacharya while he serves as acting CDC director. For CDC officials as they monitor and track global health trends.

Pray for Needs Across the States

A judge in Missouri ruled that a new congressional map from the state legislature complied with the Missouri Constitution, allowing it to be used for this year’s midterm elections. The judge stated, “The decision of what municipalities to split is a political and policy determination that is properly left in the hands of the General Assembly and Missouri’s political processes.” The Missouri Supreme Court is considering a separate challenge to the redistricted map.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has recently changed policy to comply with a 1996 federal law requiring proof of legal status to apply for or renew professional licenses. The affected industries include electricians, HVAC technicians, hairdressers, and barbers. According to information from a state senator’s office, roughly 18,000 professional licenses in the state are not attached to a Social Security number, and the measure is intended “to combat fraud, human trafficking and labor exploitation.”

Pray for state officials and legislators to be led by the Lord as they consider updates to regulations regarding licensure and districting.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

Jesus has given the church marching orders (Matthew 28:18-20). So if you’re confused on what your calling is, if you’re trying to figure out what God is telling you to do, if you’re praying about your purpose in this life, He’s already given it. He gave marching orders to the disciples. And the reason why this is so important is because there were a group of people at the same time that had opposing marching orders.
Because there are people in the culture that are marching to a different drum beat and God has called us as disciples to come to the meeting and take our marching orders and send the truth out into the culture. … Our faith is based on knowledge.
If you believe that He’s risen, then He is giving you marching orders and telling you what to do, no matter who you are, no matter what happens to you, no matter what your past is, no matter who hurt you, no matter the struggle that you face, no matter the excuses that you have. If He is risen and giving you marching orders, it’s the church’s job to say, ‘Yes, sir.‘“ – Jonathan Evans, The Faith Walk, “Marching Orders, Part 1”
