Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
The U.S. aircraft carrier strike group has arrived in the Persian Gulf as tens of thousands of Iranian protestors have reportedly been killed across that nation by the ayatollah’s regime. Though President Trump warned Iran about using violence against protestors, a death toll as high as 36,000 has been estimated by some sources.
Pray for wisdom for President Trump and his military leaders as they determine how to respond to the violence of the Iranian authorities against their people.
Pray for America’s Foreign Relations
Russian drone strikes on a passenger train killed five people this week in northeastern Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack on a civilian train “terrorism.” U.S. officials recently told Ukraine during talks in Abu Dhabi that a peace deal is necessary for the U.S. to offer security guarantees.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully conducted a search operation in northern Gaza to retrieve the body of the final remaining hostage in Hamas’ possession. The last hostage was an Israeli police officer who was reportedly killed in the October 7, 2023, attack, and his body was taken to Gaza. The IDF stated, “With this, all of the hostages from the Gaza Strip area have been returned.”
Pray for U.S. officials as they engage with foreign ministers and representatives in an effort to achieve peace.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is on a national “Eat Real Food” tour, which he kicked off in Pennsylvania last week. The health secretary is promoting healthier eating habits, highlighting the impact of poor nutrition and processed foods, particularly on children’s health. Secretary Kennedy has cited the connection between ultra-processed foods and diabetes, obesity, chronic illness, and increased health care costs.
Pray for Secretary Kennedy as he tours the nation promoting the updated food pyramid and healthy nutrition.
Pray for Needs Across the States
The West Virginia House and Senate each introduced legislation to require that only U.S. citizens are able to vote in elections held in the state. It is the third attempt in as many years to pass the resolution to amend the state Constitution with the restriction.
New York City has experienced the largest nurses’ strike in the city’s history. Approximately 15,000 nurses walked off the job at the beginning of the strike as the New York State Nurses Association negotiates pay, staffing levels, and workplace safety protections. Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined the nurses on picket lines at one point in the past two weeks, advocating for a swift and fair agreement.
Pray for governors, mayors, city council members, and other state and local officials to seek God’s guidance as they govern their jurisdictions.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“You can’t become all God wants you to be without other people in your life. In fact, the very first thing God said after he created Adam was this: ‘It is not good that man should be alone‘ (Genesis 2:18 NKJV). God isn’t just talking about marriage in this verse. It’s simply not good for any of us to do life on our own. …
You need others—particularly a church family—to walk with you through life. A physical family doesn’t always stay together. They grow up, move away, and, sadly, sometimes even split up. But a spiritual family, the church, will last forever. …
God created community as an antidote to loneliness. When you do life with your church family, you can battle discouragement and fatigue, knowing you have a circle of support to walk with you.“ –Pastor Rick Warren, Daily Hope, January 2026
