Issue 723 – Federal Branches

Praying for Our Leaders in Government

Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has arrested a man from Minnesota for offering a $45,000 bounty for Attorney General Pamela Bondi on social media. The man, who has previously been convicted of felony stalking and domestic violence, is alleged to have posted a murder-for-hire type of threat on TikTok, which violates federal law that prohibits interstate transmission of threats to injure others.

Pray for God’s protection over the president and each member of his Cabinet and administration.

Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York has called for an investigation of the donors who are paying for the construction of the White House ballroom. He accused President Trump of running a “pay-to-play” scheme, saying, “These people are going to be held accountable, no matter how long it takes.”

Pray for the majority and minority leaders in both chambers of Congress to be discerning in their investigations.

PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES

The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, chaired by Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, held a hearing last month titled “How the Corruption of Science has Impacted Public Perception and Policies Regarding Vaccines.” Chairman Johnson submitted a study into the congressional record, which was suppressed for five years, showing that children who have been vaccinated are more than twice as likely to suffer from asthma, eczema, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders than those who have not. Expert testimony also indicated that vaccine safety has never been subjected to rigorous study.

Pray for the chairs and members of Senate and House committees as they hold hearings and investigations.

Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges

The U.S. District Court of Rhode Island is hearing a lawsuit against the Rhode Island Department of Education and Providence Public School District brought by the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division for racial discrimination. The school district introduced the “Educators of Color Loan Forgiveness Program” to give new, non-white, teachers student loan repayments of up to $25,000. The DOJ filing stated that “excluding white teachers is racist and unlawful.”

Pray for the judges and justices in the federal judiciary to have wisdom and insight as they hear and decide cases.
