Issue 721 – Federal Branches

Praying for Our Leaders in Government

Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that Facebook removed a group page that was being used to dox and target Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at the request of the Justice Department. The attorney general stated, “The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing their jobs. The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.”

Pray for Attorney General Bondi and the heads of the federal law enforcement agencies to be prudent in their operations.

Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress

Senator Jim Banks of Indiana is requesting information from the U.S. Census Bureau regarding the 2020 census to review the accuracy of the counts. The bureau acknowledged in 2022 that the results in 14 states were flawed. Senator Banks said, “The reports may have also miscounted the population in a number of voting districts. And the reports definitively included illegal aliens without tracking those aliens’ citizenship status. If left uncorrected, these errors will continue diluting the political power of American citizens.” The numbers from the nationwide census are the foundation of the Electoral College, congressional districts, and congressional seat apportionment.

Pray for members of both houses of Congress as they address election security and integrity.

PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES

Senate Armed Services Chair Roger Wicker of Mississippi facilitated the approval of the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, which led to a successful floor vote. The full Senate went through a marathon voting session on dozens of amendments before being passed. As a condition of her support, Senator Tammy Duckworth insisted that the Armed Services Committee hold a hearing regarding President Trump’s use of the National Guard to support law enforcement in U.S. cities.

Pray for Senators and Representatives as they navigate specific concerns surrounding the governing of the nation.

Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges

This week, District Judge Leonie Brinkema ordered parents suing the Loudoun County School District to post a $125,000 bond to continue their case. The parents sued the school district after their sons were suspended under Title IX for sexual harassment and discrimination for reporting their discomfort with a biologically female student, who identifies as male, recording them on video in the boys’ locker room.

Pray for federal judges who hear cases regarding discrimination and transgender issues in schools to be prudent in their rulings.
