Issue 720 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell recently announced the reduction of U.S. military presence in Iraq “in accordance with the president’s guidance and in alignment with the U.S.-Iraq Higher Military Commission.“ He stated, “This reduction reflects our combined success in fighting ISIS and marks an effort to transition to a lasting U.S.-Iraq security partnership in accordance with U.S. national interests, the Iraqi Constitution, and the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement.“

Pray for President Trump, Secretary Hegseth, U.S. military advisors, and commanders around the globe as they determine where to deploy and station troops. Pray for God’s protection over U.S. Armed Forces personnel.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

Russia has continued to attack Ukraine’s power grid and natural gas infrastructure. Russia also alleged that Ukraine sent drones to attack one of its nuclear power plants. A Russian diplomat said that, in the wake of the meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin, “Anchorage’s powerful momentum in favour of agreements has been largely exhausted.“

Pray for U.S. officials to be discerning as they discuss support for Ukraine and explore any remaining leverage that could halt Russia’s attacks.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

President Trump announced Wednesday evening that both Israel and Hamas have officially agreed to peace terms. In the first phase of the peace plan, Hamas will release all remaining hostages, living and dead, and Israel will withdraw troops according to the agreement’s timeline. President Trump expressed gratitude to mediators from Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar who met with Israeli and Hamas officials to negotiate the peace plan details.

Give thanks to God for the officials of all the nations involved in mediating peace in Gaza.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated the schedules for adult and child immunization, applying “individual-based decision making“ to COVID-19 vaccination and recommending a standalone inoculation for chickenpox instead of the combination vaccine with measles, mumps, and rubella. Deputy Health Secretary O’Neill said, “Informed consent is back.” He commended the change that promotes health care providers discussing vaccination risks and benefits with patients and parents.

Pray for U.S. health officials in the Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Administration, and CDC as they assess the risks and benefits of medications and vaccinations.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Texas attorney general is investigating the cancellation by Texas Christian University of a Turning Point USA event that featured a transgender detransitioner. The state AG said, “This doesn’t look like free speech to me,“ after the speaker announced that the local chapter had found a new venue after being denied an available room on the TCU campus.

The California Air Resources Board, a state regulator, recently repealed the state’s Advanced Clean Fleet regulation that required heavy-duty truck companies to acquire more electric vehicles. The board voted to provide flexibility after a state assembly bill directed the zero-emissions rule mandating private companies’ purchase of fleets of trucks be loosened. Earlier this year, the EPA revoked waivers allowing the state to enforce more restrictive emission standards.

Pray for state officials as they seek to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“When you feel frustrated or upset, or if you have lost your peace and your joy, ask yourself, ‘Am I believing God’s Word?‘ The only way to be free from struggling is to believe the Word and obey whatever Jesus puts in your heart to do. Believing God’s Word delivers you from struggling so you can rest in the promises of God.
If your thoughts have become negative and you are full of doubt, it is because you have stopped believing God’s Word and trusting Him. As soon as you start believing God’s Word, your joy will return, and you will be at ease again.“ – Joyce Meyer, Enjoying Everyday Life, “Are You At Rest?“
