Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine recently visited troops stationed in Puerto Rico as the U.S. military is increasing its operations against drug cartels trafficking narcotics in the Caribbean. Secretary Hegseth said, “Make no mistake about it, what you’re doing right now is not training. This is the real-world exercise on behalf of the vital national interest of the United States of America to end the poisoning of the American people.” The secretary also stated, “The full power of the American military, used precisely, with a clear mission, will be used to ensure the American people are kept safe.”
Pray for Secretary Hegseth and U.S. military commanders as they authorize operations to counter narcoterrorism. Pray for the safety and well-being of the U.S. troops serving in harm’s way.
PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE
NATO scrambled jets in response to Russian drones entering Polish airspace on Wednesday. Russia claimed that the drones belonged to Ukraine, contradicting Ukrainian President Zelensky, who said that “at least two Russian drones that entered Polish territory during the night used Belarusian airspace.“ President Trump responded, “What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!” Romania and Latvia also reported the discovery of Russian military drone parts in their territories this past weekend.
Pray for prudence for President Trump and NATO leaders as they evaluate the violation of Poland’s airspace and determine how to respond.
Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL
Two terrorists opened fire on a bus in Jerusalem on Monday, killing 6 people and wounding more than 20. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel conducted a strike on Hamas leaders living in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday in response to the terrorist violence. Qatari officials announced, after the strike, that they would no longer mediate for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Israel has also continued its military operations to take control of Gaza City. President Trump had issued a “final warning“ to Hamas regarding accepting his terms for a ceasefire.
Pray for President Trump to be led by the Lord as he seeks peace in the Middle East.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
The Food and Drug Administration has announced a “green list“ to stop the import of ingredients from unverified foreign sources. Of primary concern are ingredients that have been used in drugs for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes and for weight loss. The FDA stated the action was taken “to safeguard consumers from illegal GLP-1 active ingredients imported from overseas to ensure patient safety and a secure drug supply chain.”
Pray for wisdom for Commissioner Makary and FDA officials as they assess drugs and medications that are available to the American public.
Pray for Needs Across the States
A Rhode Island Special Assistant Attorney General has been suspended without pay after creating a viral scene, mistreating police officers who arrested her for willful trespass in Newport. Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said, “She’s humiliated herself. Regardless of what happens vis-a-vis her employment with us, she’s going to have a long time coming back from this… I’ve got 110 lawyers. She embarrassed all of them. I haven’t had many issues like this while I’ve been attorney general.”
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt launched Operation SAFE (Swift Action for Families Everywhere) in Tulsa to clear homeless encampments, restore public safety, and clear state land of dangerous debris. Crews from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and state troopers cleared 21 camps in the first day. Homeless individuals are given the option of housing and treatment services or going to jail.
Pray for discernment for state officials as they address and resolve the issues facing their constituents.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
“God has given us His absolute truth—in the Ten Commandments, among other places. These commandments let us know what’s right and what’s wrong, what’s true and what’s false, what’s up and what’s down. They create a framework for our lives—a spiritual cage, of sorts. But their purpose is not to trap us or keep us in bondage. Instead, they provide a barrier of protection to keep evil out.
Our enemy, the devil, tries to chip away at it. He downplays the effects of disobeying God or ignoring His commands. He tries to convince us that our protective barrier keeps us from a more exciting, fulfilling life. In other words, he lies.“ – Pastor Greg Laurie, “God’s Protective Barriers,” Harvest
