Know the Truth
In today’s post-modern society, relativism has taken many captive. “I have my truth and you have yours,” some say, getting caught up in situational ethics and the absence of absolutes. You will be able to stand against deception as you study the Word of God. Genesis 3:1 says, “Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?” While you know the answer to the devil’s question was “no,” Eve was influenced by the devil’s craftiness. That same craftiness is used by the enemy today, which causes people to say, “Surely the Bible doesn’t mean ______ (fill in the blank).“ This week’s verse reminds you that freedom in Christ is available to you! You do not need to succumb to the lies of the deceiver. God has made a way for you to know Him and His unchanging, everlasting truth. Your strong foundation is the Word of God. Internalize it so that you may stand firmly upon the truth and live in freedom in Christ.
