Officials say Maduro is using drug cartels to destabilize the U.S.
The Departments of State and Justice announced an increase in their reward to $50 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro under the Narcotics Reward Program. In a video statement making the announcement, Attorney General Pam Bondi said the increase in bounty was necessary, alleging that President Maduro was using drug cartels to intentionally inflict the United States with narcotics and violence.
The State Department announced, “For over a decade, Maduro has been a leader of Cartel de los Soles, which is responsible for trafficking drugs into the United States. On July 25, 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury designated Cartel de Los Soles as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.”
“He is one of the largest narcotraffickers in the world, and a threat to our national security,” AG Bondi said. “Under President Trump’s leadership, Maduro will not escape justice, and he will be held accountable for his despicable crimes.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Marco Rubio and Attorney General Bondi as they seek information to prosecute the Venezuelan president for narcotics trafficking.
- For U.S. officials to be led by the Lord as they address the opioid crisis and endeavor to reduce the illicit drugs entering the nation.
