Praying for Our Leaders in Government

Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported that over 1,300 illegal aliens were apprehended in the Houston, Texas, area last month. Those arrested included a plane hijacker, child predators, and murderers. Acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said, “The number of dangerous criminal aliens that [ICE agents] removed from local communities across Southeast Texas last month is just another example of their selfless and unyielding efforts to return our local communities to places where we can all raise our families without having to worry about child predators, gang members, or other violent criminal aliens preying on our loved ones.”

Pray for ICE leadership and agents as they seek to remove dangerous illegal migrants from communities throughout the United States.

Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has announced her plan to introduce legislation that would make “the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity” a felony offense. The congresswoman stated, “We must end the dangerous and deadly practice of weather modification and geoengineering.”

Pray for federal legislators as they assess and seek to restrict the practices of cloud seeding and other atmospheric modifications.

PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES

The House Administration Committee, chaired by Representative Bryan Steil of Wisconsin, has taken steps to increase security on Capitol Hill as the threat of political violence continues to increase. The U.S. Capitol Police Threat Assessment Section investigated over 9,000 threats in 2024 made against members of Congress, their families, and staff.

Pray for members of congressional committees as they assess the security threats to Senators and Representatives, as well as their families and staff members.

Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges

Eastern Texas U.S. District Judge Sean Jordan recently decided that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau exceeded its authority under the Fair Credit Reporting Act by issuing a rule in January that would remove outstanding medical debt from consumer credit reports. The rule, which was originally slated to go into effect 60 days after it was published, was delayed after the presidential administration change and the legal challenge.

Pray for district and appellate judges as they consider the extent of the legal authority of various federal agencies and bureaus.
