The funding supported environmental justice in urban forestry, equitable land access to underserved producers, and conservation practices for disadvantaged farmers.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced last month that $148.6 million in diversity, equity, and inclusivity-focused awards would be terminated. The programs being ended include socially disadvantaged farmers on conservation practices, environmental justice in urban forestry, and equitable access to land, capital, and market opportunities for underserved producers in the Bay Area.
Secretary Brook Rollins stated, “Putting American Farmers First means cutting the millions of dollars that are being wasted on woke DEI propaganda. Under President Trump’s leadership, I am putting an end to the waste, fraud, and abuse that has diverted resources from American farmers and restoring sanity and fiscal stewardship to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Rollins to be led by the Lord as she reviews the USDA programs and policies.
- For USDA personnel as they administer taxpayer funds to farming programs and grant awards.
