Issue 702 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The Marine Corps Attack Drone Team (MCADT) will participate in the U.S. Military Drone Crucible Championships hosted by the U.S. National Drone Association in Florida from June 30 to July 3. Major Alejandro Tavizon, the Weapons Training Battalion Headquarters Company commander and officer in charge of MCADT, said, “Today’s battlefield is changing rapidly, and we must adapt just as quickly.”

Pray for U.S. military commanders and service members in the drone teams as they develop battlefield strategies for the unmanned craft.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

After Ukraine launched a massive drone attack against Russian military air fields this past weekend. More than one hundred drones, that were smuggled deep inside Russian territory in “Operation Spiderweb,” reportedly destroyed dozens of bombers, roughly a third of the Russian fleet, wreaking $7 billion in damages. Monday evening, Russia continued its long-range attacks against Ukraine. On Tuesday, Ukraine’s security service attacked the bridge that connects the Crimean peninsula to Russia using underwater explosives.

Pray for President Trump and Secretary Rubio as they assess the role the U.S. can play in bringing about peace.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

An Egyptian national whose visa was expired made a firebombing attack on a peaceful rally in Boulder, Colorado. The people participating in the event were advocating for the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. This attack occurred after media outlets published Hamas claims, refuted by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), that 21 Palestinians died and others were injured in an attack at an aid distribution center Sunday morning.

Pray for discernment for U.S. and Israeli officials as they seek to prevent terrorist attacks by pro-Palestinian individuals.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that drug overdoses dropped 27 percent from 2023 to 2024. The agency stated that, since 2017, “Congressional support has enabled CDC to expand critical data systems and strengthen overdose prevention capacity across all states.“ However, despite improvements, overdose is still the leading cause of death for those between 18-44.

Pray for HHS, CDC, FDA, and other federal and state health agency officials as they promote the Overdose Data to Action program and awareness of treatments including naloxone.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Hawaii Governor Josh Green recently signed legislation that establishes a climate fee for tourists. The “green fee” raises the transient accommodation tax to fund the state’s climate change resiliency projects and environmental stewardship and is expected to generate $100 million per year. The governor said, “As an island chain, Hawaii cannot wait for the next disaster to hit before taking action.”

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt declared June the “Month for Life.” The governor stated, “The inherent dignity and value of every human life are fundamental principles that shape our society.” He wrote on social media, “It’s simple: Life begins at conception – We’re committed to supporting moms every step – God has a plan for every life.”

Pray for state governors to receive God’s wisdom as they implement policies and address the concerns of their constituents.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“In every believer’s heart there is a constant struggle between the old nature and the new. The old nature is very active and loses no opportunity of employing all the weapons in its deadly arsenal against newborn grace; while on the other hand, the new nature is always on the lookout to resist and destroy its enemy. Grace within us will employ prayer and faith and hope and love to cast out the evil; it takes to itself ‘the whole armor of God‘ and wrestles vigorously. These two opposing natures will never stop struggling as long as we are in this world. …
Are you fighting with the adversary today? Are Satan, the world, and the flesh all against you? Do not be discouraged nor dismayed. Fight on! For God Himself is with you. Jehovah Nissi is your banner, and Jehovah Rophi is the healer of your wounds. Do not fear, you will overcome, for who can defeat Omnipotence? Fight on, ‘looking to Jesus‘; and although the conflict is long and tough, the victory will be sweet, and the promised reward will be glorious.“
