Moral Compass
Elections have been won and lost over a variety of issues throughout the almost 250-year history of the United States. Recently, the concept of upholding law and order has come forward as a defining focus in political discourse. As the lines of what humans believe to be “good” or “evil” have become increasingly blurred, it is essential to hold tightly to God’s Word. Proverbs 24:24-25 states, “Whoever says to the wicked, ‘You are in the right,’ will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations, but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.” That blessing comes from God. Cultural shifts do not change the reality of good and evil. Scripture provides a “true north” by which to set the compass of your life. Test everything by the integrity of His Word. And pray for a revival in this land that causes people to turn to the Lord in repentance.
