President Announces Halt of U.S. Strikes Against Houthis After Diplomatic Agreement

President Trump states the terrorist group doesn’t want to fight anymore.

President Donald Trump announced this week that his administration would “stop the bombings” against the Yemen-based Houthi terrorist group. The president said, “They don’t want to fight anymore.”

“We will stop the bombings,” President Trump said during a press conference in the Oval Office. “They have capitulated…we will take their word that they will not be blowing up ships anymore, and that’s the purpose of what we were doing.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained that “this was always a freedom of navigation issue.”

“You had a band of individuals with advanced weaponry that were threatening global shipping, and the job was to get that to stop, and if it’s going to stop, then we can stop,” Secretary Rubio said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for President Trump as he seeks peaceful solutions to conflicts around the world.
  • For Secretary Rubio and U.S. diplomats as they discuss potential agreements and ceasefires.
