Issue 675 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The U.S. Air Force recently received its first Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) from Northrup Grumman for testing. The long-range, high-speed air-to-ground missile is made for F-35s, and the service anticipates putting SiAWs into operation in 2026.

Pray for military leaders as they award contracts for and test new weapon systems for battle.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

The British foreign secretary denied that they will send troops to fight in Ukraine after a French news outlet reported discussions about the United Kingdom and France sending military personnel. However, the U.K. and Germany have committed to training Ukrainian troops.

For U.S. officials and NATO leaders to be discerning in their support for Ukraine and not escalate the conflict.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

The White House announced Tuesday that Israel and Lebanon accepted a ceasefire agreement. Over the weekend Israel had conducted airstrikes on Beirut, Lebanon. Then Hezbollah fired 250 missiles into Israel. The agreement will “cease the fighting in Lebanon, and secure Israel from the threat of Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations operating from Lebanon.“

Pray for wisdom for U.S. negotiators as they participate in negotiations for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and a release of the hostages.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Food and Drug Administration has issued new rules regarding prescription drug ads on television. The commercials will have to provide more clarity regarding risks and side effects, with fewer distractions.

Pray for FDA Commissioner Califf and officials as they determine the best interests of consumers regarding promotions of medications.

Pray for Needs Across the States

The Florida attorney general has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Emergency Management Agency for discriminating against Floridians who had yard signs or flew flags supporting President-elect Donald Trump in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.

The Minnesota House is evenly split between parties after the most recent election. The leaders of the chamber have agreed to split control of the legislative committees evenly in next year’s session. However, the state’s constitution requires only one speaker. The last time an even split occurred was in 1979.

For state legislators and attorneys general as they seek to ensure beneficial outcomes for their residents and constituents.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

Prayer is how we communicate with God and how He sometimes communicates with us. It is the way we enter into a conversation and a relationship with God. God has commanded us to pray. A prayer has four simple steps. They are evident in the Lord’s prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13:
1) Address our Heavenly Father,
2) Thank Him for blessings,
3) Ask Him for blessings,
4) Close in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer can be said in one’s mind or out loud. Praying aloud can sometimes focus one’s thoughts. You can utter prayers at any time. … Jesus Christ taught us to pray always, with sincerity, and avoid vain repetitions. We must pray with unwavering faith and real intent.“ Rachel Bruner & Krista Cook, Learn Religions, November 2024
